Digital Photography and Image Editing for Plant Scientists

Jun 20, 2022 – Jul 01, 2022

Digital Photography and Image Editing for Plant Scientists

We are happy to announce our new online course “Basics of Digital Photography and Image Editing”

Following our live Workshop on science photography and our photo contest in autumn 2021 we got plenty of feedback asking for more events on this topic. So we have asked our professional photographer Matthias Baumbach to join us once again and give us a more extensive look into the world of digital photography while sticking to the same aim: better pictures with simple tricks and low budget.

The course is divided in two part:

Week 1 - “Digital Photography”  gives a general introduction to digital photography, how different camera settings influence the picture and what to keep in mind when selecting and framing a motif.

Week 2 - “Image Editing” is focused on refining a picture using image editing software.

The lectures will have a scope of approximately 90 minutes per week, divided in short thematic segments. As usual, you can watch the videos at your own pace. A certificate of participation can be provided upon request after completion of the course.

Ready to learn how to create great digital pictures? Participation in the course is open and free of charge for all scientists. To join, please log into your PLANT 2030 ACADEMY account and follow the link below. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one using THIS LINK.
