Turn complex results into messages that land—with peers, funders, farmers, and the public.
Our Find Your Story hybrid workshop for early-career plant scientists and plant breeders is led by science journalist Dr. Tamara Worzewski and blends an online course with a live follow-up session.
The workshop builds on a core idea introduced in our online course „Defend your science“. While Defend your science touches on scientific storytelling only briefly, Find your story takes this single aspect and develops it into a comprehensive, practical framework.
Highlights
- Story arc for science: Use Context → Gap → Contribution → Impact to make results memorable.
- Essence distillation: Craft a crisp, one-sentence message that anchors abstracts, talks, and posts.
- Audience-centred language: Adjust detail, jargon, and framing for peers, funders, journalists, and the general public.
- Practice: Consolidate your newly learned skills with small exercises. Join us live to ask your questions and get feedback.
Workshop Details
The workshop comes in two parts. First, we lay the foundations with an online course and accompanying worksheets. Then we meet live on Zoom to apply the methods to your project, answer questions, and get feedback.
